Never a dull moment at the order administration of Cross Point

From day to day orders are sent to the order administration of Cross Point.

Every order for Electronic Article Surveillance and Access Control will be processed into the administration by Rebecca van Dort and Mirella Drenth.
Both Rebecca and Mirella have been working at Cross Point for almost a decade now, which makes them capable of processing orders with ease and accuracy. Their work is not only about processing the orders, but much more.

More than transport and logistics

They are also responsible for transport/logistics. After the order has been confirmed to the partner, the order can be shipped with forwarders we are  using, like DB Schenker and UPS. Alternatively, partners can choose to use their own fowarder. Orders can be shipped by land, sea and air.

Beside the packaging list and invoice, other specific documents like a Certificate of Origin, a legalized invoice, ATR or an Export Declaration can be obligated. This depends on the destination country and the Customs rules in that specific country. During this entire process, the order administration is in close contact with the sales department, logistics department and our partners.

Due to different time zones, most of the communication with our partners happens per e-mail. But it is also nice to have a chance to speak to partners on the phone or meet them in person.

In case of return shipment, partners can send it back to us through the RMA procedure. This is also a task of the order administration.

We have an official certificate to act as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). We work closely with the Customs and their common goal is to increase the security of the international logistics chain. With AEO, Customs also wants to better facilitate legal trade flows. The AEO certificate is important for us and our partners. Rebecca is responsible for the correct content and validity of the certificate.

Inside sales

Mirella is also responsible for the Inside Sales, which contains tasks like booking flights and hotels for our sales managers, generating partner price lists, making contracts for the partners and is working at the Bestseller project together with Lasse Lyhne. Also organising a Partner Event or the EuroShop is a part of her job, which she enjoys a lot to work on.
