Terms
Below are a few definitions of frequently used terms in this statement.

  • Cross Point: Crossvest B.V., Cross Point Holding B.V., Cross Point B.V., Cross Point RFEAS B.V., Cross Point RFID B.V., Cross Point Logistics B.V., Cross Point Technology B.V. and Cross Point Deutschland GmbH.
  • Personal data: any kind of data on a natural person or a kind of data that can be traced to a given person such as a first name, surname, date of birth, ip-address, online-locator or address.
  • Processing of personal data: every treatment with regard to handling personal data, for example collecting, recording, passing on, destroying or archiving.
  • Cookies are small pieces of information (little files) that a website leaves behind on your device (for example, your computer). The website instructs the web browser you use (for example Internet Explorer or Google Chrome) to store these cookies on your device.
  • IP address is an Internet Protocol address that refers to a unique destination on the Internet. The IP address might provide details of the location and use of the computer. The IP address is essential to direct the pages from the Internet to the correct computer.

Collection and use of personal data of customers, suppliers and other clients
We would like to address your attention to the fact that we collect and use the personal data you give us, since this is necessary to conclude and execute an agreement with you. This is valid for our (potential) partners as well as for other parties we do business with.

Are you a (potential) partner? Then we will use your data to send a quotation, determine which specifications or wishes a certain case or service should meet, supply, perform and/or invoice and communicate efficiently about the aspects of the agreement.

Are you a potential supplier? Then your personal data is necessary to conclude and execute an agreement. In purchasing it is necessary to inform you which specifications or wishes a product or service should meet, to send a request for a quotation, to place an order, to pay invoices and to communicate efficiently about other aspects of the agreement.

You are not obliged to give us your personal data. However, if you do not provide us with sufficient information on your personal data, then it is possible that we cannot execute the aforementioned employment.

Transmission to a third party
In relation to an agreement that has to be executed, it is possible that we need to transfer your personal data to a party that delivers parts, materials and products, or that executes employments in our order.
Furthermore, we use an external data center to store our sales and purchase administration (partially), of which your personal data is part of. Your personal data will be provided to the provider of the data center.
We also use Microsoft Office and the associated storage possibilities for email and other files.
Since we use a newsletter mailing service, your personal data will be provided to the provider of this service.

Direct Marketing
If you order our products or services regularly, we will file your personal data and use it to update you personally per email about existing and new products and services, and possibly make you an offer for this. We have a legitimate interest in using your personal data for this goal, namely to sell our products and services.
Every time we send an advertising mailing, you have the possibility to inform us that you do not appreciate this mailing. You can find an unsubscribe link below every mailing.

Storage period personal data
If you requested a quotation from Cross Point, but you have not become a partner, then we will remove your personal data from our files not later than 1 year after our last contact. If we have received a quotation from you, but we haven’t become a customer, your personal data will be removed from our files not later than 1 year after our last contact. If you have become our partner, or we have become your customer, then we will save your personal data for a period of 7 years after the end of the financial year in which the agreement with you has been executed completely. This period of 7 years is in compliance with the period in which we are obliged to save our administration for our Tax Office. After this period your personal data will be removed.

Your rights
You have the right to ask us to see your personal data in our administration. If there is a reason, you may request us to add details or to change inaccuracies. Then you have the right to ask us to remove your personal data from our system, or to limit the use of your personal data. Furthermore, you can object to us that we gather and use your personal data or you can file a complaint at the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Finally you can request us to obtain your personal data from our system, or to transfer your personal data to someone else. To exercise your rights, you can contact privacy@crosspoint.nl. Questions or information requests about the gathering and use of your personal data can be posed to us as well

Prior to accepting your request, Cross Point is entitled to ask you to visit the company to assure your identity by showing your valid passport.

Cross Point respects the privacy of all visitors to their website
Cross Point respects your privacy and especially the use of your personal data. Unless legislation requires us to do so, Cross Point will not provide your personal details to other parties unless you have provided us with your consent.

European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) EU/2016/679
Cross Point applies the European General Data Protection Regulation and the relevant Dutch laws and regulations. Cross Point treats your personal data with the utmost care and confidentiality.

Communication
If you send an e-mail or use the contact form on Cross Point’s website, or send a message to Cross Point, it is possible that these messages are stored as an e-mail in our systems. Sometimes we ask you to provide your personal data depending on the relevant circumstances. This allows us to process your queries and try to answer your questions. The data is stored on our own secure servers or those of a third party. If you send technical support questions your message can be processed in our service-ticket system.

Cross Point uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service which is provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies” to help the website to analyze how visitors/users use the site. The information generated by the cookies, on your use of the website (including your IP address, in which the last octet is masked) is transferred to and stored by Google on servers in the United States. Rights of visitors

No Fees
Unless your request is excessive, not substantiated or unreasonable, you will not be charged for exercising your rights. If you wish to file a complaint with the relevant authority, you will bear the (legal) costs yourself.

Response time
After receipt of your legitimate request Cross Point will respond within a reasonable time period, being within 1 month after receipt of the request. (1 month). Depending of the complexity of your request or if you raise multiple requests simultaneously, it might be that our response time will be prolonged. In such instance Cross Point will inform you regularly on the progress of your request(s).
